Bedroom Lighting Design -- Ouch, Too Glaring

One aspect of bedroom design is lighting. It can be difficult because every part of your bedroom has its own lighting need. For example, table for reading needs sufficient bright light source, while your bed just needs low intensity light such dimmer. Certain lighting design must meet the purpose of your bedroom parts. Hence, designer has to take this into account in setting up your bedroom lighting.

Not is light intensity the only thing to consider in bedroom light installation, there’re more to it. The placement of lamps and buttons arrangement should not be ignored. I think I’m one of people who have wrong light buttons arrangement. When I feel sleepy on my bed, I just feel so lazy to turn of the light because I have to get up and step toward light switch and then get back on the bed. I wish I could do it while on my bed. Your bedroom furniture placement is also responsible in deciding bedroom lighting system.

Most of us use bedside lamp at night lighting. The designer should plan its setting well from its height and shade. If it goes well, the light will shine straight to what you read and not prevent you from seeing. There is another substitute to bedside lamp. You can use mounted lights considering your bedroom space. To install this type of lights in your bedroom, you have to adjust height to get the best vision while reading.

What about lighting around vanity sets? The key is to put lights on both right and left sides to create evenly spread lights and avoid the dazzle lights that make your face seem too bright. Ok, enough here for now and see you next post.
